Alive to the Witness

It’s enough to be a man,

to walk the path of suffering

by the light of kindness,

giving the gift of oneself

however imperfect

again and again,

intimate with Her body,

alive to the witness

of the stars.

Don, thank you for the beautiful message of your poem. It is good to know such men walking the earth in this amazing day! Jesus, the Christ, was one. What a brave soul! I know he had that connection with the Divine Feminine conveyed in your poem. No other way could he have done what was his to do with such love and compassion…and with such victory. We emphasize the Father as true men of God. Lord knows the world is in need of such men. Remembering our Mother and loving Her in each precious breath of life grounds the lightning bolt of the Father’s all-
powerful love in ways that are so sweetly palletable in our lives on earth.

    hearts beating as One

It seems to me that knowing what is “enough” is the wisdom of a mature heart, Don, and it shines in your poem. Once all the clamor of “more” or “all”, even the trumpets of great causes have faded, the grounded power of “enough” begins to take over. I think finding “enough” is the only path of healing for a warrior.
