Howling for justice
while trampling hope,
curses swell with fury
under dark morning skies.
On this day of choosing
let the river of blessing
flow from our hearts—
like the Magdalene
bearing seeds of the Anointed
through long nights of ignorance,
giving birth to light.

  1. Then She comes trailing a dark night, a blessing from her time in the city.

  2. Yes, Don, I find that the Spirit of Blessing flows like that River, most often free of mental decisions on my part. Just an opening of the Heart, innately bearing seeds that let me receive blessings budding in balance with those I seek to give others. May Rivers of Blessing flow between us, each and all. What a privileged pleasure That is!

  3. Wonderful words, Don. Lovely image. Upbeat music from Richard Thompson. Thank you.
