Healing the heart
takes heart medicine;
sound or touch, yes,
but what closes the wound
and brings peace rests within.
There are horrors in this life
breaking more than bones,
isolation that blights the soul
yet there is a well, cold and full
that feeds us with beginnings,
timeless beyond death.
Rest here in the silence;
we have far to travel.
So true, and beautifully put.
Sums it up nicely and poetically for me. Thank you Don. 🙂
The broken heart is an open heart, ripe to experience more of the fullness of life. Fill ‘er up. “Peace rests within”. Beautiful.
Thanks, Don…
Just forwarded your poem to a friend who needs to hear this today, as I did.
Thank you, Don. You have just explained the “just keep going no matter what” pattern of my life.
Beautiful reminder, Brother.
Yes, thankful for that cold full well of beginnings, because we surely have far to travel.
Yes
Touches my heart deeply… May this spirit and message resound throughout the Earth. Thank you, Don.

Healing the wound with new beginning….lumimous!
Beautifully woven.
drinking, drinking, resting, resting
here we are timeless beyond death
by this heart healing well of beginnings
