Morning wind,
white-capped waves.
Autumn hues,
brown and pale green,
turning to earth,
hearts spring open
in wind and color.

Don, lots of beauty in the description this morning. Enjoy the season.
Don — Perfect verse for today! The Fall Foliage in bursting forth in color here in SE Wisconsin today. Thanks for sharing.
PS: Your poem is “short & sweet.” Just like we like our homilies/sermons!
PPS: I love Bill Evans music!
I readily resonate with your words here, Don. Rhythmically raking the Autumn leafs here in my yard, my sprung-open heart feels a perfect harvest in process! It’s pure Art for Art’s sake — in that, after I’ve gathered up one day’s yield, the next day’s newness looks as pristinely untouched as ever! All the while, Blessings manifest amid my sharing in the process itself.
And joyfully get the rakes as homage to the cooler, brighter season.
“…hearts spring open in wind and color.” Well said, Don.
