Along the cracked sidewalks
and traffic choked streets,
beneath the winter barren
of leafless trees,
I gather the litter of holiness,
tossed aside and left for trash.
With scraps of paper, messages
forlorn and forgotten,
I piece together a mandala,
rose window of pilgrim light
for the solstice dark cathedral.

Don — Perfect for today. Merry Christmas!
One man’s trash, another man’s treasure. Thanks, Don. Peace and joy to you this holiday season.
Especially love the photo and the music. Thank you, Don. May you know joy in this winter season.
Don, I like John Albright’s post. Good one about a thoughtful poem.
Don,
I always appreciate your thoughts!
