The clouded sun
lights the sea,
gulls cry out
their morning welcome
and the daily news arrives.
The greater the disturbance
the deeper I reach
to nurture the garden.
Watered with silence,
fed with forgiveness,
the harvest is spirit
and upon this altar
I am lifted.
Reading of “Nurture the Garden” with music by Kiev Chamber Choir.
Another wonderful poem Don. I too am lifted thanks to your artistry….
Lovely I really liked it Thx
Perfect,Don. Reaching deep brings us to the full experience of life.
What a wonderful morning meditation to begin my day Don.
Thank you.
The greater the disturbance, the more I need to water……
Don, “the greater the disturbance”? You better be ready to reach deep for awhile. I wouldn’t mind being wrong.
Don — Your poem is beautiful & profound. And I love the photo of the Sandhill Cranes! 😊
Your poem conveys such a gentle spirit of upliftment, of harvesting, of spirit.
Thank you worthy poet.
Great metaphor for how to BE in the world, this crazy world evidencedi in the daily news! I love the image of the sandhill cranes, lifting in flight, and the deep harmony in the choir. Thank you, Don.
Lovely expression of rising above separation. Thanks
Exquisite!
I love the calming, loving spirit in your poem, Don. So necessary in these times. Thank you.
In the naked all shame can be sweetly released upward and in that I am blessed.
Lovely Don … to nurture the Garden one must be in the Garden … and it here that we really discover one another, fellow gardeners, working together, as we are.
