Who am I to ask you questions,
you’ve lived your life,
taken the risks
of love defeated
and moments shining.

Do I need to hear it all
or can I rest with you
in the silence,
letting pulse pound

until lifted from our skin
we know the truth
of the unscarred eternal,
weather worn, bent by time
undivided and forever.

  1. No matter the earth’s condition (our own earth or the planetary body), the “unscarred eternal” is present, “undivided and forever.” So well verbalized, Don!
And the means to know this—the connecting, communicating stuff of oneness—is indeed “lifted from our skin.” In moments as you described, the past rolls into now and needn’t be rehearsed.
A fine, sweet piece which touches me with delicate fingertips. Thank you.

  2. Appreciating the place in consciousness you tapped into to bring this forth, Don.

“can I rest with you in the silence” is an important question…especially over the next few years I suspect.

  3. Ah, to rest in the silence of unconditional love…………..perfect! Thank you for this gem, Don!

  4. I love this! This realization, for me, comes from a deep willingness to be still, to cut the puppet strings of the mind and truly be with another person. In that place the answers are so evident, no questions are needed.

  5. This poem made my whole body vibrate. Really powerful. Thanks so much for offering your gift to the world.

  6. No need for questions. We share the answers of our shared existence, inspired by wise and loving togetherness in one Universe, one moment, being!

  7. Thank you Don. Nourishing thought for my heart and mind at this sign-less crossroad where I currently abide.
