Awake to the morning
in streaming gray clouds
the stark outline of trees
breathe in the stillness
of sentient Earth
speaking softly
through early light.

The day comes
with Spring force,
the rush of snow melt
flooding the valley
with the weight of water,
cleaning the deadfall
fallen in its path,
the Lazarus of winter
rising to the voice
of the living Earth.

  1. Mother ocean and bear creek’s roaring song sings of the emerging passions of spring – emotions flooding the soul, cleansing. We prayed on the earth yesterday for the courage to release our attachments and trust life to carry us home to ata – let go and let flow.

  2. A beautiful testament to the grace of nature in her natural risings and diminishings. A reminder of our own abilities to flow with what is before us. Thank you Don, for your constant dance with nature and her wisdom.

Thanks so much for your presence over these many months(and years). The call is to rise up….and stay there. The veil has lifted.

  4. Your poems evoke a prayerful calm; something sorely needed in this world. Thank you for continuing to share this beauty, both of words and of images.
