On wonder’s threshold
with depths uncharted
and horizons vast,

forgotten to many
the hymns of praise
and whispers of worship,

yet in quiet hours
they stir in me
ceaseless as the sea.

  1. Over a week ago, as I was experiencing a crisis (bank account hacked), I went out to my garden to calm down. As I sat, the hymn “In The Garden” came to mind. It was a sweet memory of my early church days so I looked up the words. They have stayed in my heart ever since as a mantra of calm and wonder. Love’s ever enfolding gift.

  2. Don — Short & simple. And beautiful! Very “Joe Evans-Like!” Thanks for sharing. Even Figel liked it. Love the music by “Van the Man.”

  3. Beautiful, Don. I know this experience… Love’s gift, as Elizabeth so lovingly described.
    Grateful thanks for today.

  4. I readily resonate with your finely articulated imagery here, Don! Between uncharted depths and vast horizons abide all the stirring whispers of human dreams, visions and imaginations which meld well into creative ideas, thoughts, words and actions. Thank You!

  5. Several days of a big sky clearing lots so that what is so new will have real chance amidst yesterday’s deep misunderstandings.
Swimming in milk and honey,I will meet you there.
