Easter 2023
Surrounded by noise
it’s difficult to discern
how life each day
speaks through starlight
and the colors of spring.
Tiny birds flit about,
rivers loosen as ice
releases its grip
and though your body
descends in the arc of age
the inner voice remains clear.
Why take up the sword
the closed hearted invite?
On this day the gospel of innocence
holds space for all
and through the pain,
the long suffering and despair,
into the light of forgiveness
you rise.

Thank you Don for this Sunday meditation! For me, maintaining a clear inner voice is essential in discerning how life speaks through Starlight and the colors of Spring. Beautiful!
Beautiful, Don. The way is clear when the inner voice is what is heard amongst the din.
It is Good News Don! the Gospel of Innocence proclaimed in daily living is the beginning and the ending of the process by which the Word is made flesh, and there is so very much that gets filled in between these alpha and omega points that mark the procession through this incarnation, moving from glory unto glory as this Gospel opens for all who will walk into this holy portal space, and relax and release upon the mercy seat in the light of forgiveness and peace. I am grateful for you, and for all that opens in this way.
Don, the hope of forgiveness is a perfect message for Easter and every day. With your poetic talent, you come to the point without the circular, ornate rhetoric that will be offered from many pulpits. Thank you.
