In the quiet dark
earth nurtures her future
below the cold wet ground.
Forests wait in embryo,
plants and flowers
and the vastness
of green to come,
alive in the winter womb,
fed by her heartbeat.
And my undiscovered self,
waiting there for the spark
of awakening, for God’s idea
of who I might be
when I emerge into light.
Reading of “God’s Idea” with music by Paul Cardall
Words of Wonder in witness of the Eternal Present Moment (one that is ever and always fulfilled): “Let All the Earth, including mine, keep Silence before (and right up until) the Creator’s next Idea fully emerges anew as the Brilliant Light of Life Here and Now!”
Beautiful, full of mystery and promise. Fantastic photo and perfect music.
Don, this is thoughtful and well-constructed. But why is life always lying in the forestland and never in the places I like, the dense, diverse urban spots? Somehow, we need to drop you into Times Square or Chicago’s State & Madison one of these days.
“For God’s idea of who I might be….”
I enjoyed that thought.
Such an awesome piece , Don.
I like the intrigue, the mystery and truth in what is being shared.
I think we are always being made new regardless of the season. The season’s are important for there are always three lurking in the shadow in some way.
Winter- the germination time
Spring – the budding of our new selves
Summer- the fullness of ourselves
Fall- the shedding of that which no longer serves us.
They all show us who we are becoming, I think.
Don, I appreciate you so much. Your willingness to write and articulate the inner life is such a joy to respond to. Thanks for having the courage to put your work into the world and receive all that comes back to you. You are a brave man. Thank you.
