Morning under clouded skies,
the longest night passed
in the slow turn
toward brighter days.

Aldebaran leads Orion
through the winter arc
as I pursue the star within
on the road leading home.

Be of good faith my friend;
though we have far to travel,
we are connected, however distant,
following a light in the dark heaven.

  1. …you are the star within; rising in the firmament of heaven… part of a great constellation, informed by the spirit of love.

  2. Dark Heaven: In one sense, I might behold Aldebaran as a Star Within that, like any star, seems to be a mere pinprick in the “dark heaven” of midnight. Yet, I’d be heartened, realizing that my beholder’s eye can keenly see, sans judgment, that Night is an innate darkness while our Sun is blindingly bright.
Thus, I CAN follow Light into dark heavens that then I’ll see as ever shining!

  3. The Star within realizes the intimacy of our Being in these brighter evol.
    So gorgeous to behold.

  4. Although it is my journey to travel, it is reassuring to know there are others pointing the way and guidance like cairns on the trail. Thank you. Ed

  5. This is so poignant Don! Thank you.
We are connected. Following a light.
    Forever shining.
