Clouds cover the valley
as dawn light breaks.
The gift of life
arrives once more –
to poor and rich,
faithful and faithless,
clothed as a child
in winter dark
with starlight shining.

Don, I think your theology is getting there. There’s hope.
Don — Beautiful poem this morning to start off the New Year. Recognition of the “gift of life” comes to us in many ways. We all need to accept with gratitude & celebrate that gift whenever we can. Thank you for sharing your verse with us.
Yes, Don! Innocently clothed as a child, Dawn’s Light peeks over the distant horizon of my mornings destined to emblazon the sky with inexorable Radiance mere hours later! May my Life’s mounting years (fleeting like hours) faithfully follow suit! That’s my wish.
