Raise Hope

The cherry trees softly painted

against the first blue of spring

raise hope within the earth,

our secret wish released

from the dark fold of winter

in a daring flow of pink

upon silence.

Beautiful Don, … The sun is also celebrating here in Ashland, pouring her warmth over earth and flesh. What beauty and wisdom is found in witnessing the daily births of creation. We are so blessed to live on this beautiful planet .. and to focus on nature and into the eyes of another.

Nice Don. Cherry blossoms have always meant spring to me. My childhood neighborhood was lined with them. Pink snow as the wind blew.

Ah yes, “pink hope” even found Bend yesterday, though riding a mighty slow pony…

Simply brilliant. I love this poem. For some reason it reminded me of
raising children; that we don’t raise children, we raise hope.
