Enveloped in Magic

The body travels
with mind and heart,
yet spirit remains
in stillness.
Place changes,
time continues
yet where I am
is not disturbed.
Holy the rock,
grace the blessing
of the silent watchers.
Giving myself
to the changeless
I travel the world
while strangely unmoved,
enveloped in magic
by the mystery
of the Beloved.

    Absolutely delectable, Don!

  3. Rose Meeker says:

Very beautiful. I so relate to that suspended feeling, being “in the world, but not of it.” Given to the changeless, when chaotic change is happening all around.

  4. Seeing and blessing a world in upheaval from the place of stillness. I do so love this poem. You speak eloquently my own heart. Bless you sacred bard.

  5. Tom Figel says:

Don, this is well put together and musical. However, I am not having the lofty thoughts of the others who have left comments. What comes to mind for me is my mind wandering during some classes such as metaphysics and statistics.

Lovely poem, Don. Yes, the stillpoint in the moving universe is within us.

  7. Yes, I know that sacred place — often, too briefly!
Thanks for the reminder, Soul Brother…

Your poem has been singing in my heart all day, since reading it earlier this morning. The fact that spirit remains in stillness, as all sorts if chaos swirls around, has proven true at every turn today. We are indeed enveloped in magic and blessed in beauty.

The mystery of the Beloved is my focus as I walk through this or that valley. My purpose is to bless no matter what comes my way. My heart feels, my mind observes without conditions or limitations and from the source that I know within, I bless unconditionally! So beautiful, Don! I am grateful!
