Turned Once More

From the depths of root and stone
surrendered to air and sunlight,
all that color waiting in the dark
through long months of cold and rain
risen and turned once more
into the green leaves of spring.

Oh yes, I’ll be quoting this one again. Not only green, but all the colours that spring forth from the soil! if these slip by as anything less then miraculous, then we’re pretty jaded!! Or greyed!!!

Don, a smart way of expressing the truth of spring. Thanks.

  3. David Barnes says:

Simply magnificent Don – these magical words invoking the magic of life – this compost! a familiar daily alchemy turning rock and soil into floral purple and leafy green, water into wine, light and sound into flesh and blood, and men and women into angels on earth

Stunning depiction of the process of awakening to the light. Thank you, Don!
