Born through the Plum Tree

Wisdom beneath the earth
born through the flowering tree
in the soft color of life,
bearing the burden of snow
as it rises with spring’s urge,
hungry for the light.

The universal thrust all Life-forms, clothed in these few words: “as it rises with Spring’s urge”—akin to the utterance of another Word Master in another Age: “…if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.” Release of these energies cannot be stopped by ego-man, and so it is in the irrepressible river-flow of your poetic Word, Don. Thank you.
