Solstice 2015

What passes for morning
on the shortest day –
dim light and dark skies,
rain falling on the valley.
Nothing for it but to rest
nurturing the inner light,
find the remnant threads of joy
and weave a solstice blanket
to wrap the heart and let
the fire that flames within
warm us on the longest night.

  1. It’s been quite a year, hasn’t it Brother? The remnant threads of joy are strong enough for the heart blanket we need right now. So glad we are companions on this journey.
