I count the days
under cloud filled skies
as the long arms of winter
slowly recede.

My hope like raindrops
falling to the wet ground,
finding faith in the dark soil
for what surely rises.

  1. Don, finding faith is a good idea but out in the woods, though good, is not the only place, I think. Among people seems best to me, people of all types. And you are one of the good ones.

  2. This music of Carlos Santana is perfect to surround this pearl of a poem. As the long arms of winter slowly recede, the warm hands of spring are already at work. Thank you!

  3. As we come full circle each year, the miracle of newness, birth, and fresh opportunity is so beautiful. What a gift.
