The rain came unexpectedly,
softening the dry ground
and thirst we felt
as we shriveled
without water,

our hearts
curled up and hid
until the sound of drops
released the tension.

Then we looked up
into the sky,
the rain filling our eyes
with thankfulness.

  1. In drought plagued California I long to look up into rain drops instead of chem trails criss-crossing the sky…

  2. my Senator will not communicate with me about chem-trails, he denies what I witness, just as the masses deny my witness of a wondrous design of this world’s creation, as it fills my eyes with it’s beauty.
