Sitting in darkness,
I live between worlds
of day and night,

opening passages
in the earth house,

as I quietly render
the awakened and holy
with the force of a poem.

  1. A poem that stands in the doorway between silence and revelation.
True poetry doesn’t decorate the sacred—it opens the passage to it.

  2. Don – Thank you for “quietly rendering the awakened & holy with the force of your poetry.” We all benefit with that. Mike

  3. “…I quietly render the awakened and holy with the force of a poem.”
    Nice, Don.

  4. Don: the selection of the music was perfect for this poem. Today’s gospel was about the blind man who could see after Jesus rubbed mud in his eyes. He was blind, but then he could see.

  5. Don, Your words here remind me of the ‘Silence of the Mountains’ page in your book, ‘Stranger to the Beautiful’, where the quietly rendering ‘I’ Between Worlds, is the very one who messages Wanderers to hear the Stars guiding them beyond the desert of Uncertainty to Crystal Waters where certain comfort abides. So, Who actually delivers that Message? One’s ‘Mirror’ will know!
