Tide Pull

The tide is pulling
in a broad sweep
of deep water,
continents slipping
toward a sea
hungry for the mountain
and all that lives
on green land,
wanting our memory,
our love for the shore,
to release ourselves
like the fathomless ocean
racing with abandon
into the arms of the night.

    Thank you, Don. ^__^

  5. This is one of those “premonition of death” moments we all have that make the present moment so much sweeter…

  6. At first blush it sounds depressing, then the realization that the tide is eternally pulling back unto itself, the source of all life, and I relaxed into knowing that this dream is moving in the direction of light, even death cannot stop it.
