Morning Devotion

Quieting the tempest of thought
inner seas begin to calm
the weight of expectation sinking
waves of animosity laying down
until surface mirrors the open sky
a deeper presence within the Earth
rising through bedrock and lifted
to the temple finding form
in breadth of water
still before the morning sun.

    Poetry that connects inner/outer, a much-needed work.
    Thanks!

    Hummmmmm… sweet.

  3. While driving through the arid, old volcanic desert, I salute this presence within the Earth rising through bedrock of the landscape and of humanity. Mine especially.

Thank you for artistically orchestrating through words, an
unseen process of enlivening movement, accompanied by the
outrageously beautiful and powerful earthly images offered. You
let me see . . me . . in creative action. In any moment I may choose to
    surrender . . reflect . . ascend . . and Be . .
” still before the morning sun.”

I am so full of gratitude in this moment, I’m likely to leave this Alley Cat coffee house, with tears flowing…
